The Cisco A900-PWR1200-A is a 1200W AC Power Supply designed for the ASR 900 Series and compatible with the Cisco Network Convergence System (NCS) 560-7 Router. This field-replaceable unit (FRU) provides reliable power delivery in modular aggregation platforms optimized for broadband, mobile backhaul, and Metro Ethernet applications.

The A900-PWR1200-A is part of a fully modular system featuring redundant Route Switch Processors (RSPs), high-speed fan trays, and up to 16 interface modules. It contributes to low power consumption and high Ethernet interface density, with support for 1G/10G/40G/100G ports. The power supply enables precise frequency and phase/time synchronization using SyncE, IEEE-1588 PTP, and GPS interfaces.

Ideal for remote Point-of-Presence (POP) and aggregation sites, it supports Layer 2 VPN, Layer 3 VPN, Ethernet VPN (EVPN), and Multicast services. The platform is 5G ready with Segment Routing and EVPN, MEF 3.0 certified, and part of Cisco Certified Metro Fabric Design.

It operates in load-share mode with multiple supplies, enhancing redundancy for converged mobile, residential, and business services.

The router’s compact 7 RU form factor (height 12.22 in./310.38 mm, width 17.44 in./443 mm, depth 9.22 in./234.2 mm) weighs up to 69.32 lb (31.4 kg) fully loaded, supporting rack mounts for 19 in. and 23 in. racks, plus ETSI kits.
