• Hosted CPE: Routes branch traffic over Ethernet SLAs, encrypts thousands of Gbps, optimizes WAN paths, supports software redundancy on ASR1001, ASR1002-F/X, ASR1004.
• Embedded High-Speed Firewall: Zone-based policy firewall up to 100 Gbps, 40,000 sessions/sec logging via NetFlow v9.
• IPsec VPN Aggregation: Scales to 8,000 IPsec tunnels, up to 25 Gbps encryption on ESP100.

Requires Cisco IOS XE software, compatible with RP1/RP2 image bundles: IP Base, Advanced IP Services, Advanced Enterprise Services (with/without encryption). Part of 7 sub-packages: RPBase, RPControl, RPAccess (K9/non-K9), RPIOS, ESPBase, SIPSPA, SIPBase.

Supports software redundancy on 1/2RU/4RU models, hardware on 6/13RU. ESP bandwidth from 2.5-100 Gbps, scalable via activation.

Physical specs vary: ASR1001 (1.71in H, 23.3lb max), up to ASR1013 (22.8in H, 184lb). Front-to-back airflow, rack-mountable (19in), operating temp 41-104F, humidity 10-85%.
