Description

The Cisco S-A9K-200G-CGN is a Smart License that activates Carrier Grade NAT functionality specifically for the Cisco ASR 9000 Series 200G Modular Line Cards (MOD200 LC). This license enables inline CGv6 transformation, supporting Carrier Grade IPv6 to IPv4 Network Address Translation for high-scale service provider networks.

Product Overview

Cisco ASR 9000 Series 400G and 200G Modular Line Cards provide a highly flexible solution with multiple combinations of Ethernet ports in a single slot of ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers. These modular line cards feature two open bays (bay 0 and bay 1) for ASR 9000 Series Modular Port Adapters (MPA), allowing customization of port density, speed, and optics. The portfolio includes the 20-Port 10GE MPA, 2-Port 100GE MPA, 1-Port 100G and 2-Port 100G MPA, and MACSec-enabled 32-Port 1GE MPA.

Using modular line cards with MPAs supports applications like video on demand, IPTV, point-to-point video, Internet video, and cloud computing. They deliver scalable, line-rate Ethernet and IP/MPLS edge services for Carrier Ethernet and IP/MPLS networks.
