The Cisco S-A9K-EVPN-RTU-4X1 is the ASR 9000 E-VPN 4x1Gbps Right to Use License, enabling advanced Ethernet VPN (EVPN) capabilities on Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers. This RTU license provides essential software activation for EVPN services, supporting high-density, scalable Carrier Ethernet and IP/MPLS networks. Ideal for service providers handling Video-on-Demand (VoD), IPTV, point-to-point video, Internet video, and cloud services traffic.

Cisco ASR 9000 Series licenses like S-A9K-EVPN-RTU-4X1 deliver line-rate performance and carrier-class reliability. Designed to remove bandwidth bottlenecks, this license integrates with 4-port 100 Gigabit Ethernet LAN line cards using QSFP optics, offering flexibility to break out into 16x10GE ports. The ‘green design’ allows power-saving modes for unused capacity, reducing operational expenses.
