Description

The Cisco ASR-9902-200G-FC is a compact, high-performance router from the ASR 9000 Series, delivering up to 800 Gbps of nonblocking, full-duplex capacity in a 2RU form factor. This Flexible Consumption Model (FCM) variant includes a 1xRP bundle, optimized for service edge deployments with power-efficient architecture and super service scales to reduce CapEx and OpEx.

Product Overview

Part of the Cisco ASR 9000 Series, the ASR 9902 Router supports the same Cisco IOS XR 64-bit software image, enabling standardization across platforms. It offers flexibility with multiple port rates: 100/40 Gigabit Ethernet, 25 Gigabit Ethernet, and 10 Gigabit Ethernet. The fixed board integrates 2 QSFP-DD-based 100GE ports, 6 QSFP28-based 100GE ports, 16 SFP28-based 25GE/10GE dual-rate ports, and 24 SFP+-based LAN/WAN (OTN) ports. All ports support MACSec encryption.

With a maximum 800G data bandwidth, ports operate in various combinations for business PE, metro aggregation, cloud edge, internet peering, Data Center Interconnect (DCI), Broadband Network Gateway (BNG), internet edge, WAN Core, WAN Edge, WAN Aggregation, and mobile edge in 4G/5G networks. Compact depth of 19 inches (483 mm), front-to-back airflow, and PTP Telecom profiles enhance efficiency.
