Description

The Cisco ASR-9910-FAN Fan Tray is a critical component for the Cisco ASR 9910 Router, providing high-reliability cooling to support the demanding performance of carrier-class aggregation services. Designed for use with the Cisco ASR 9000 Route Switch Processor 880-LT (RSP880-LT), it ensures optimal thermal management in high-density environments supporting 100 Gigabit Ethernet line cards and advanced Layer 2/Layer 3 services.

Route Switch Processor Variants

The ASR 9000 RSP 880 is available in RSP880 and RSP880-LT variants, both service-edge-optimized and packet-transport-optimized models. RSP880-LT supports the ASR 9910 Router alongside ASR 9010, ASR 9006, ASR 9904, and ASR 9906. Service-edge-optimized versions provide higher memory for large-scale service deployments. Both support service-optimized and transport-optimized line cards with mixing flexibility.

Software and Services Support

Powered by Cisco IOS XR Software with true software process modularity, protected memory for each process including routing protocols, multiple instances of control, data, and management planes, and distributed route processing. Supports Software-Maintenance-Update (SMU) for bug fixes without service interruption, Field-Programmable Device (FPD) upgrades for FPGAs and ROMmon.
